The marina basin of Cabanga Iate Club. The water does not only look suspicious but also smells a bit. In the background, you see the channel at low tide. See here for our cruising notes for Recife and Cabanga Iate Clube de Pernambuco. |

The infrastructure of the club is great - sometimes we felt like in Club Med but then there was the busy road just outside... Our kids greatly appreciated the big slide into the swimming pool.
View from Olinda on Recife. You can see the entry to the harbour area. Olinda has some beautiful streets with colorful houses. We particularly liked the Creperie and the ice cream shops.
Bolero hour at Jacaré. The idea to play Ravel's Bolero at sunset may be ok. But the shows is on every night. And there are two competing restaurants with two competing sax players (the guy in white standing in the little boat in the middle of the photo) - the resulting mix doesn't sound that ok.
Anahita at anchor in Costinha (just opposite Cabadelo). Apparently, Costinha had a whaling station run by the Japanese until not too long ago.
The ferry connecting Costinha with Cabadelo. |
