Many cruisers stay at anchor behind Hog island. The place may be less convenient than Prickly Bay but the atmosphere is great. There is a little beach and every sunday they have a barbecue at the beach bar.
Grenada marine is located more to the East, in St. David's harbour. Here we take Anahita out of the water for two weeks. Note Appollonia in the foreground on the right. 25 years ago, two persons were murdered on this infamous yacht. The yacht was then successfully used for charter - apparently people liked the idea of sailing with the 'murder yacht'.
The West Indies will host the Cricket World Championship in 2007. For this venue, Grenada is building a huge stadium (15'000 seats, for a total population of some 100'000; let others do the economics of this one). Hurricane Ivan delayed the project, so the Grenadians hired the Chinese to finish the job.
Benno started to scuba dive in the Caribbean. Diving opens a new perspective to the sea. For example in the submarine park at Moliniere Point on Grenada where artist Jason Taylor threw several pieces of art in the water (see the website of the Underwater Sculpture Gallery; picture copyright Jason Taylor).
 Sunset at anchor in Carriacou.
Tyrrel Bay on Carriacou was overcrowded at our arrival. The reason: many yachts that had spent the hurrican season on Trinidad had hoped to get to Bequia by Christmas; because of heavy north-easterly winds, a lot of them did not manage to do the last leg. One evening, we counted more than 100 anchor lights - the bay looked like a giant Christmas tree.
